Having just turned 16 in August, Lammert could easily be a sophomore as opposed to his advanced standing as a young junior. This makes his potential all the more dramatic as he's on the way to being a sure fire 7 footer. He is NOT a post and doesn't belong on the blocks. He's aptly described his game in the vein of Dirk Nowitzki. He runs the floor extremely well, has a nice face up game (including the three point shot), can put the ball on the floor adequately & was the only Austin/San Antonio area player who attended the prestigious Pangos Camp in Los Angeles last June. A hairline fracture to his vertebrae suffered out in California shelved young Lammert for the rest of the summer. He is now fully recovered. I've coached a lot of great young bigs over the years & Lammert shows the potential to be right there with any of them including McDonald's All American John Henson of North Carolina. (And if that's not good enough for you, he's also an Eagle Scout!)-Coach Max Ivany
