This was Westlake's first test of the year where they were "out-athleted". Playing without 2011 G Hagen Fell who took a hard fall to the hardwood against West Monroe, the Chapparals bench was further tested. Of course they didn't have to go too far down the bench at the lead guard position as 2010 PG Cody Doolin (San Francisco) didn't take a minute's rest.Doolin dropped 30, including 9-10 from the FT line in the 4th quarter. He also added 5 steals, 5 assists and 7 rebounds to dominate the stat line. Doolin's summer team mate with the Texas D-1 Ambassadors, 2010 W 6'6" Conner Kemper added 16 points and 8 rebounds. M.I.T. bound 2010 Carl Meyertons added 14 and 6 rebounds for Westlake. 2010 Jason Powell added 10, and Big Gus Leeper (Arkansas-Little Rock) had 7, 8 rebounds and several key blocks.
Westlake plays DFW powerhouse, North Crowley at 7:30 tonight.
