The Mississippi D-1 Ambassadors will be chock full of 2011 prospects this coming season. None will be hotter than Ridgeland W 6'5" Donovan Ross. Ross (below) He's strong and tough enough to take you down low and punish you physically, but what sets him apart from most is his ability to run the floor and give you fits on the wing too. I've seen him play in person three times to date and you always know what you're going to get from him. A 100% effort; good grades and the product of a good family.Friday night Ross made Yazoo City his latest victim as he had 19 points and 13 boards against a team that was much bigger inside. Donovan has also been a consistent force as his season averages are 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Ross will team with 2011 G 6'5" LeAntwan Luckett on Tuesday as they face Oxford in the 3rd round of the Mississippi State Playoffs. Shortly after that the two team mates will strap it on for the Mississippi D-1 Ambassadors. There will be a trail of high major college coaches chasing this squad, led by Coach Ted Hutchins.
