2011 G 6'2" Tre Demps of San Antonio Reagan led his team with 20 tonight.
2011 P 6'9" Anthony Walker of San Antonio Johnson
San Antonio Reagan kept their playoff hopes alive with a barrage of three pointers (3 in a 2 minute span) by 2011 CG Tre Demps to break open a nip and tuck game with rival San Antonio Johnson. Demps finished with 20 and also added 6 dimes and 5 rebounds. Reagan was pretty well rounded on the evening as 2011 W Max Yon had 14 points and 4 boards (including a resounding dunk). 2011 P 6'5" Brad Colter added 13 points and 9 boards in the win.
Johnson got a solid 22 from 2010 PG Chris Zurcher who showed a nice perimeter stroke and mid range game. Johnson controlled the scoreboard until well into the 3rd quarter as 2010 W Daryl Threat dropped 5 long range bombs and finished with 21. 2011 P 6'9" Anthony Walker is not much of an offensive threat yet, but he's got a great basketball body. He finished with 1 point, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks.
It turned into an even better night for Tre Demps about an hour after his nice eprformance against Johnson when I received his official invitation to this summer's Pangos All American Camp in Los Angeles this coming June. For those of you not familiar, Pangos is typically seen as the marquee camp in the country behind Nike Skills Academy invites, and is considered by many to be on par with Reebok U.
Demps is a strong combo, with ever increasing skills. Has improved his strength, decision making and his range rapidly over the last year. Extremely aggressive and effective going to the rack.
