Austin Bowie Tournament
Austin Bowie held serve on their home court with a decisive 63-50 championship win over The Woodlands College Park. Senior Connor Robinson had 25 points in the win, while 2012 G Paul Baxter kicked in with 16 points.
South San Tournament
San Antonio Mac Arthur used balanced scoring to defeat San Antonio Central Catholic 62-57 to nab the title. MacArthur blanketed Central's leading scorer Cole Martinez & overcame his hot season long shooting holding him to 17 points. 2012 G Matt Gramling of MacArthur scored 14 points but he also fills up the stat sheet with rebounds & assists. He was clearly the D1 Nation's choice of MVP of the event.
Lone Star Invitational
San Antonio Churchill captured the Lone Star Northeast ISD Tournament with a big win over North Crowley 59-53. Churchill built the lead to almost 20 before North Crowley came storming back to cut it to 3 points to make things interesting. Providence signee Kyan Anderson was not available for North Crowley's semi final win over Reagan or the Championship v Churchill. In his absence, 2012 W Terrence Syon put the team on his back scoring 12 points & snagging 14 rebounds.
2012 Combo Guard Matt Gramling (l) of San Antonio MacArthur & 2012 P Connor Lammert (r) shown at the Pangos All American Camp in Los Angeles will be team mates this coming summer in key summer events with the Texas D1 Ambassadors.
Churchill had an extremely balanced offensive attack led by 2011 Clark Lammert with 13 points & 9 rebounds. 2011 W Jacob Woods had 12, & 2012's Connor Lammert & Scott Mammel chipped in with 11 a piece. The D1 Nation's MVP of the event was Senior Clark Lammert. Not only did he provide timely offense, it was his work on the boards & willingness to make the extra pass that gave him the nod. Great win & confidence builder for Churchill.
Marble Falls NcDonald's Tournament
Killeen 73 Copperas Cove 53 Too much Ta'Shawn Thomas (Houston) who scored 25, mostly around the goal aided by 2012 Tevin Bartney's 15 enabled the Runnin' Roos to blow out Cove in the title game.

Aldine Tournament
Harker Heights lost their first game of the year in the Championship game to Houston Madison 81-73. Senior Brandon Bullock had 21 & Senior Royce O'Neale 19 for the Knights in the loss.
FOOTBALL
The clock struck midnight on two Texas D1 Ambassadors dual sport stars. Cedar Park WR Dylan Cox (committed to Army for basketball) were nipped 21-20 by Lake Travis in 4A while Bastrop QB Josiah Monroe and his team got beat 42-35 to Mesquite Poteet. Monroe is verballed to Texas-San Antonio to play football. He finished the day with 11r yards rushing and 468 yards passing, pushing his season totals to over 5200 total yards of offense.
