Pangos All American Camp (Los Angeles, CA) Friday, Day 1

Some of Texas' Best Are mixing it up at the Pangos All American Camp in Long Beach, CA.

Below: Three guys who have represented the Texas D-1 Ambassadors at National Competition include from left to right: 2012 WG 6'5" Uche Ofoegbu of San Antonio Stevens, 2012 P 6'9" Connor Lammert & 2011 G 6'3" Tre Demps of San Antonio Reagan.

Every year, my friend Dino Trigonis' Pangos All American Camp keeps getting better and better.  The campers and media like my self (Coach Max's Texas Prep Report) checked into our respective hotels; Long Beach Hyatt and the Avia.   Both hotels carry a whopping price tag of close to $300 per night.  Complimentary of Pangos, first class all the way.

Over the course of the three days the kids will eat at world famous Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, receive instruction from former NBA & NCAA Assistant Dave Miller who's one of the best in the business. They'll receive strength and conditioning instruction, position specific instruction, a series of games and then if they're the best of the best, there will be the two Cream of the Crop Games to bring camp to a close.
Cabrillo High School in Long Beach is literally crawling with National media; including http://www.ballislife.com/ , Dave Telep & Evan Daniel from http://www.scout.com/ , Joel Francisco of http://www.espn.com/ , Van Coleman of http://www.hoopmasters.com/ , Clark Francis of http://www.hoopscooponline.com/ , the venerable old gentleman of the evaluation game Brick Ettinger of Chapel Hill, NC of  http://www.prepstars.com/ and a host of others.  I feel honored to have been invited to represent the Texas Scene.  Like the kids, I'll be observing and learning from the best in our business as well.

120 of the nation's top players are in attendance, with almost half the camp consisting of  guys 6'7" and above (56 players). Texas is well represented with 16 players; including 4 who are or were Texas D-1 Ambassadors.  Several kids flights were delayed on Friday but those from Texas scheduled to appear are the following:
