Houston Westbury Christian 57 Pflugerville 55

1st Quarter Pflugervfille 19-9
Half Pflugerville 32-26
3rd Quarter Westbury Christian 41-37
Final Westbury Christian 57 Pflugerville 55

This was a matchup between two quality programs who year in and year out have rosters sprinkled with college talent. I especially like the matchup between two of Texas' top PG in the Class of 2011. Pflugerville's Deon Mitchell and Westbury's Anthony Collins are two treats to watch. Mitchell is smoother in the things he does, but Collins is a quick as any guard in the State and is virtually untrappable against pressure. I give Mitchell the slight edge because of his DEEP shooting range but I'd be happy to take either one if I was a college coach.

Per Westbury's Coach, Collins is getting recruited by Georgetown and Kansas amongst others while personally I've been close to Mitchell's recruiting as he's been offered by Marquette and I've fielded calls from Arizona and Arizona State in the Pac-10.

2010 P 6'8" Nick Sheppard (Long Beach State) didn't show me much last week in Houston at the Texas Jamboree but today v. Pflugerville he was extremely active on the boards with several emphatic dunks. He worked tirelessly for position down low, and frankly the Panthers were overmatched at that spot on the floor.

In what turned out to be a great high school game, Pflugerville's perimeter shooting abandonded them for most of the 3rd quarter. At one point Westbury led 48-37 on the strength of Nick Sheppard's 3rd quarter play. In the 4th Pflugerville stormed back to take a 52-51 lead. It was a ferocious finish, with Westbury prevailing 57-55
