Tonight's  district 16 4A match up between Hutto High School and Bryan Rudder was a good physical contest with both teams shooting the ball really well. Rudder is now 4-0 in district play and it seems like they cant be slowed down.  The big three for Rudder combined for 40 points, countless rebounds, and really made it difficult for the lady Hippos to defend.

Rudder 70  Hutto 53
(Left) 2012 G 5'7 Lamaria Cole of Rudder is a high quality player with a bright future. Lamaria notched 19 points in the match up against Hutto. Cole has superior ball handling skills with tremendous quickness. Her first step is very quick and her ability to change direction is superior. Cole is a match up problem for most teams due to her ability to beat you in so many ways. Cole Showed how much better she can make those around her as she dished out at least 10 assist ton9ght.. While her natural position may be the point, Cole can be just as effective off the ball. Her explosive speed and quickness make the 5-7 guard a force at any spot on the floor. She is listed in ESPN Hoop Gurlz as one of the top prospects in the country and ranked in the top twenty here in the state of Texas. Cole is a major prospect in the class of 2012 with loads of next level potential.

(Middle) 2012 W 5'11 Marche Amerson of Rudder dropped 13 and added a number of key rebounds and blocks. Amerson continues to be an impressive player. Amerson is a nice prospect with adequate athleticism, size and length along with great shooting ability. In Amerson you got a versatile wing-forward that can put the ball on the floor, and also work you down in the post. She has excellent ball handling shooting, and passing skills with toughness at the basket. Amerson is also recognized by ESPN Hoop gurlz as one of the top prospects in the country and ranked in the top twenty in the state of Texas. Amerson is also a major prospect in the class of 2012 and will do great things at the next level.

(Right) 2012 G 5'8 Fatima Adams of Rudder notched 8 for the game. Adams is a smooth guard that competes on a high level. She was very aggressive at attacking the basket while being a monster on the boards. Fatima showed great toughness with a nice skill set. One thing that impressed me about Adams was her willingness to bang on the boards. Adams did an excellent job pushing the ball up the floor to get her team out in transition. Look for Adams to be a nice prospect in the class of 2012.

The Big Three for Rudder High School

2011 G Haylea Jackson of Hutto dropped 13 in the big district match up against Rudder. Haylea is small in size but packs a heavy punch. Haylea has excellent defense and loves to attack the basket. Jackson has great ball handling skills, with the ability to burn you from deep. Jackson has several schools with strong commitments and will be signed by the regular period in April. Haley suited up with the D-1 Ambassadors this past summer and was a great asset to the program.
