Texas D1 Ambassadors Doing Their Thing In Junior College As Well

The D1 Ambassadors pride themselves as an organization in having our alumni go to the highest level, (John Henson, North Carolina) and/or the highest academic level (Chris Clement-Princeton) & Reinier Strobos (M.I.T.)  However, there are many paths that can be taken and ultimately as long as kids are pursuing their education, playing basketball and keeping their dreams alive then it's all good.

Our former Coach with the Louisiana D1 Ambassadors, Bobby Sibley is now coaching at Frank Philips Junior College in Borger, TX.  He keeps a close watch over our kids at the JuCo level.  This last few days has been a special time for our kids as former Texas D1 Ambassadors star 6'7" William Nelson of Port Allen, LA (Acadiana Prep) leads the #1 JuCo team in the country (Hutchinson, KS) in scoring at 14.6 ppg and 7.3 rpg while shooting 52% from the field.  Nelson is seen as a potential pro WR on the gridiron but he has chosen to bypass all the SEC schools overtures to play the game he loves, basketball. Will has fought through tremendous adversity in his young life and we wish him well as he pursues his hoop dreams.

Will is getting looks from Western Kentucky, Oral Roberts, Missouri State, Houston & most recently Gonzaga.  Expect his stock to continue to rise as the season progresses.

Louisiana D1 Ambassadors alum Jared Harrison is the starting PG for #3 ranked Connors State College, OK.  He's averaging 5.1 ppg, 4.4 apg & 1.8 spg.

Shavon "Sugar" Coleman of Thibodeaux, LA and one of our star players in our big win over the powerhouse DC Assault in Manhattan, KS is averaging 12 ppg, 6.8 rpg while shooting 62% for defending Junior College National Champions Howard College, TX.

Louisiana D1 Ambassadors Joe Charles and Quinton Lowe are playing key roles for Dodge City, KS Junior College.
Austin St. Stephen's alum Evan Gilliand (shown below with New Mexico Military Institute) now laces them up for Lon Morris JC (TX).
