New Braunfels Defeats Akins In First Round 58-50

Akins Lady Eagles
Texas Basketball was in the house Tuesday night for the 5A match up between the Akins Lady Eagles and Lance Hughey New Braunsfels Lady Unicorns. New Braunsfels came out with a high level of intensity tonight with it showing all throughout there warm ups. The Lady Unicorns showed up to play and that's what they did. New Braunsfels excuted their offense tonight and seemed to be one step quicker than the Lady Eagles. Akins played good basketball in small spurts but continued to be plagued by turnovers. Best of luck to the Lady Unicorns as they move into the second round.
