Texas D1 Ambassadors Alumni Update: Bryan Beasley of Rice University

The Texas D1 Ambassadors ultra successful Class of 2006 are now coming of age.  Bryan Beasley was an All State Player for Pflugerville High School & Coach Mike Murphy.  He orginally signed with Texas A&M, redshirting his freshman season.  With Coach Billy Gillispie heading on to Kentucky a new staff came on board and it wasn't a fit.  Beasley transferred to Rice University one of the country's most respected academic institutions and will graduate this spring with a degree in Economics.

Like many basketball stories, Bryan's didn't necessarily go as he thought it would as he played sparingly over the last several years.  Halfway through this his Senior year he is now starting for Coach Ben Braun's Rice Owls.  Bryan and his Family are very close to me.  They are what this program is all about.  He never lost his focus on academics and he has always been a hardworking, team player accepting whatever role his coach asked him to fill.  He will be a leader in his community for years to come.
